About Shubham Arya
Some people choose to be writers. Some choose to be actors.
Shubham Arya didn't choose either — both chose him.
He began with theatre, the way most honest things begin — Just a stage, and something that needed to be said. That need has never quite left him. It took him from the streets of Bhopal to screens — Panchayat Season 1, White Gold Season 1, Savdhan India — and to international theatre festivals, period dramas, and everything in between.
The writing came later, and just as unexpectedly. There was no intention to become a writer. But there were things that needed to be said — about cinema, about society, about the world that art lives in — and eventually, the only honest response was to write them down. Those words found their way into the pages of Deshbandhu, Pradesh Today, Pradesh Ki Halchal, and EMS India.
He is now working on his first poetry collection — one that began, like everything else, not because he planned it, but because it couldn't wait any longer.
